Anti-Tarnish Paper Strips

Anti-tarnish strips contain activated carbon that adsorbs hydrogen sulphide (H2S) from enclosed air — maintaining near-zero H2S concentration and preventing the chemical reaction that causes silver tarnish (silver sulphide) and copper patina.

Metals Protected

Silver and sterling silver (primary application — prevents black sulphide tarnish). Copper and copper alloys (brass, bronze). Gold alloys containing silver and copper. Nickel plating.

Applications

Jewellery box inserts: One strip per box — 6 to 12 months protection.

Silverware storage pouches and cases.

Copper electronic connectors and busbars: Prevents oxidation that increases contact resistance and causes soldering problems.

Precision instrument cases with copper and brass components.

Replacement Indicator

Strip changes colour from pale yellow to tan or brown when saturated. Replace every 6 to 12 months in standard indoor air, every 3 to 6 months near industrial areas.
