Foam-in-place is a two-component polyurethane system where Part A (polyol) and Part B (isocyanate) expand 30 to 40 times on mixing, curing around the product to create a perfect custom foam insert without any tooling.
When to Use Instead of Die-Cut Foam
Die-cut foam: Tooling cost Rs. 3,000 to Rs. 25,000 per product + MOQ 500 to 2,000 pieces. For stable, high-volume products.
Foam-in-place: No tooling, no MOQ, works for any shape. For low volumes per SKU, multiple product variants, and prototypes.
Process
1. Line box with PE bag (supplied).
2. Place product. Mix Part A and Part B.
3. Pour over product. Close box. Wait 5 minutes.
4. Open — product encased in custom foam.
Initial expansion: 30 to 90 seconds. Handling strength: 2 to 5 minutes. Full cure: 15 to 30 minutes. Dispatch 15 minutes after pouring.
Single-use kits: 1L to 10L foam volume.
