Plastic U-profile edge guards are extruded HDPE or PVC L-channel that clips over flat material edges — sheet metal, glass, plywood, ceramic tiles — protecting against chipping, cracking, and abrasion during handling and transit.
How They Work
Spring tension in the channel walls grips the material edge without adhesive. For varying thickness, choose jaw matching maximum material thickness.
Material Options
HDPE: Harder, higher chemical resistance. For metal, stone, ceramic edges.
PVC: More flexible, conforms to slightly irregular edges. For glass and board.
Foam-lined: HDPE or PVC with inner foam lining for polished glass and premium panels.
Size Guide
Sheet metal 0.5–2mm: 1–2mm jaw. Plywood 9–18mm: matching jaw. Ceramic tiles 8–12mm: matching jaw with foam lining.
Available in 1 metre sticks or 100 metre coils. Cut with scissors (PVC) or hacksaw (HDPE rigid).
